Kevin, it's interesting that

Kevin, it's interesting that you ask. I wrote a blog post about this, it was my first and for a while, most read blog post actually. I was on maternity leave, 2 months in, and one day I found out about a motherhood conference and saw that very useful information was being shared through twitter. While I can read the tweets, I couldn't engage so I created my account, and the rest is history.

My hesitation stems from what I mentioned above, that social media always gets a reputation of unprofessionalism. But along with this worry, I also was worried about privacy, or lack thereof on SoMe. I also didn't know it can be used as a tool for PD, otherwise I would've created my account years ago. In either case, right now I feel very passionate about being connected and try to share my experience in the hopes of others joining.
